Ken Crowther set up the company in 1966 maintaining and landscaping gardens in and around the Chigwell area. Over the years the company has won several prestigious national awards. Their headquarters is in Epping and has expanded the services into Suffolk with a satellite office in Felixstowe.

Ken has been giving gardening advice on BBC Essex for over 30 years, and has had his own programme since 1992. His programme on Saturdays from 11am has Ken and his guest expert answering the listeners gardening problems.

In October 2008 Ken was presented with the Pearson Memorial Medal at the HTA Garden Industry Leaders’ Conference.

He was on the board of Capel Manor College for 20 years and has also been on the board of trustees for the charity Perennial (Gardeners’ Royal Benevolent Society) which continues to help horticulturalists and gardeners in need.

In 2013 Ken became the founder of World Radio Gardening, the world’s first 24 hour streamed online gardening radio station. Hear it at
